Preparation of Flexible Pt Counter Electrode on Indium-doped Tin Oxide Coated Polyethylene Naphthalate for Dye-sensitized Solar Cells

摘要 Flexible Pt counter electrode(CE)was prepared by a simple and fast electroless deposition on indium-doped tin oxide coated polyethylene naphthalate(ITO-PEN)plastic substrate for dye-sensitized solar cells(DSCs).The obtained Pt CE shows a high electrocatalytic activity for triiodide reduction and a low charge transfer resistance of 0.58Ω.cm 2.The assembled DSC exhibits an overall energy conversion efficiency of up to 4.53%,which is comparable to that of the DSC with sputtered Pt CE(4.74%).The present results indicate that the electroless deposition is an effective approach to prepare plastic Pt CEs as an alternative of the sputtering technology.
