Where is "East Asian Cooperation" Heading?——On the Challenges Facing the East Asian Order and China's Strategic Choice

在美国战略中心"转向"和世界地区主义榜样力量下降的情况下,"东亚合作"已退化到没有或者缺少地区主义的地步。对于经历了中华秩序、日本秩序、美国秩序的东亚来说,地区主义是仅有的相对公平、合理、正义、新型的地区秩序。"东亚合作"不能仅仅依靠具有远见卓识的政治家,而应寻求地区合作不断增长的基本社会力量。对中国而言,当务之急是让这些好不容易建立起来的各种层次和形式的地区合作维持下去,而不是让他们自生自灭。

As the US redirects its focus of strategy and the world's example of regionalism becomes less attractive,the 'East Asian Cooperation' has been reduced to a level without or in lack of regionalism.The East Asia order has been chronologically dominated by China,Japan and the US,and regionalism is the only relatively fair,reasonable,just and new regional order.The 'East Asian Cooperation' cannot rely solely on politicians of foresight and vision,but should also seek basic social forces to increase cooperation among the region.For China,a pressing task at the moment is to maintain the diverse and multi-level regional cooperation mechanisms that were established with great difficulties and protect them from developing in a state of neglect.
