The Advances in the Study of Attenuated Salmonella in Tumor Gene Therapy

摘要 减毒的沙门氏菌是一种非病原性细菌,能靶向肿瘤并产生局部抗肿瘤的效应。减毒的沙门氏菌能选择性地在肿瘤组织中复制,表达编码治疗性蛋白的效应基因是肿瘤基因治疗有应用前景的一种途径,这种方式也将成为目前实体瘤放疗、化疗的一种辅助的治疗方法。 Attenuated salmonella is a group of non-pathogenic bacteria that can target tumors and has local anti-tumor effects. In this review, we described an alternative gene delivery system on the basis of attenuated salmonella. Attenuated salmonella strains capable of both selective amplification within tumors and expression of effect genes encoding therapeutic proteins are probably the most promising way in gene therapy of tumors. We believe that this approach will serve as a complement to the current radio-therapeutic and chemo-therapeutic treatments of solid tumors.
