Macao registered a trade deficit of 23.26 billion patacas (2.94 billion U.S. dollars) in the first ten months of 2009, an increase of 4.2 percent over the same period of last year, according to the figures released on Dec. 1, 2009 by the region’s Statistics and Census Service (DSEC).
