第十二届威尼斯建筑双年展于8月26日至11月30日举办,本届建筑双年展的主题是"相逢于建筑",由金泽美术馆、纽约新博物馆的设计者,日本建筑师妹岛和世(Kazuyo Sejima)确定。她希望参展人能够剥除建筑作为文化或政治象征符号的沉重包袱,回归最原始的目的——让人们在建筑中生活、相逢,并且能够用建筑的语言引导所有参观者"想象社会变化的方向",从而唤起世界各国的人们对建筑的再思考。这次建筑展不只是建筑体的呈现,而是建筑概念、思想与创意的汇集。

The 12th Venice Biennale is held from Aug.26 to Nov. 30.La Biennale is interested in architectural research in the present,in architecture as art that helps build the res publica,the spaces in which we live and organize our civilization,the spaces in which we recognize ourselves, the spaces we possess without being owners of them, but that are part of our condition as men and society.
