海外华文文学不宜进入中国现当代文学史

Oversea Chinese Literature shouldn't be Covered by History of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature

有一些学者主张中国现当代文学史应该包括海外华文文学,甚至应该包括华人用非华文创作的作品。这表面看仅仅是扩充中国现当代文学史的容量,实际是一个牵涉到文学的民族身份认同和国别主体确定的问题。如果片面地从中国立场思考问题,一个良好的愿望也可能引发国际政治和文化冲突。东南亚华文文学,在其国别主体认同问题上尤其敏感。海外华文文学与中国传统文化和中国现当代文学有密切关系,我们可以研究它,但不能用中国现当代文学学科来包涵它,因为它无论是国家主体认同还是具体的思想情感,都超出了中国现当代文学学科的范围。

Some scholars claim the History of Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature should cover the oversea Chinese literature,and even the works in other languages by the oversea Chinese writers,which superficially extends the capacity of modern and contemporary Chinese literature and is actually associated the racial and national identification of literature.Though as a good will grounded on Chinese literature,it may cause international political and cultural disputes,especially in the case of South-eastern Asian Chinese literature that is particularly sensitive to its national identification.Chinese scholars can study the oversea Chinese literature for its close relation traditional Chinese culture and the modern and contemporary Chinese literature;however it cannot be taken into the Modern and Contemporary Chinese Literature,because it is beyond the scope of the latter in national identification.
