美国学者迈斯纳关于毛泽东人民群众观的论述评析

On Meisner's Comments on Mao Zedong's Conception of the Masses

美国著名的中共党史和中国马克思主义研究专家莫里斯·迈斯纳教授,在其代表作《马克思主义、毛泽东主义与乌托邦主义》中对毛泽东的人民群众观进行了评述。然而,综观迈斯纳的论述,他对毛泽东关于人民群众是历史的创造者、共产党与人民群众的关系、领导与人民群众的关系等方面观点的论述是片面和不准确的。归根结底,这是因为迈斯纳没有辩证地理解毛泽东的人民群众观。

Maurice Meisner makes some comments on Mao Zedong's conception of the masses in his article entitled'Marxism, Maoism and Utopianism'.However,a comprehensive study of these comments can reveal his one-sided comprehension and misunderstanding of Mao's opinions on the masses' role in the making of history,the relationship between the Party and the masses, the relationship between the leaders and the masses.Obviously,Meisner fails to understand Mao's conception of the masses for his lack of dialectical grounding.
