一百年前,一批中国青年怀揣救国理想走出国门,求学异域;一百年后,同样有一批年轻人走出国门,为的是寻求自我发展的良方。过去,为图存救亡,留学生将注意力集中在机械、政法等领域;现在,在日益提倡建设创新型经济的今天,创意与设计业已成为新兴的留学领域。《学设计,非去不可》一书所推介的13位台湾创意人便是留学生中极具代表性的一部分。

The book 'Design,just have to go' documents interviews with 13 successful Taiwan designers who have learning experience in western countries.The most important meaning of studying abroad is that it offers a chance for designer's self-reflection.And through the crash between culture differences, designer himself reaches a higher thinking level and gains an international view.
