With more and more deep space exploration programs coming up,more and more attentions are paid to the deep space communications and navigation technology.The definitions of deep space and deep space communications and navigation technology are introduced.Then,the characteristics and developing trends of deep space communications and navigation technology are disscussed.The organizations and their standards are introduced,such as International Organization for Standardization(ISO),Consultative Committee for Space Data Systems(CCSDS),the European Cooperation for Space Standardization(ECSS),and National Aeronautics and Space Administration(NASA).Finally,suggestions to the standardization of deep space communications and navigation technology in our country are provided.
