Thirty Years' Changes of the Cost for Appendicitis Hospitalization

改革开放以来,我国医疗费用变化很大,通过收集整理不同时期阑尾炎的住院费用,结合相关政策分析,从一个侧面展示了这些变化。分析显示,阑尾炎费用在20世纪80年代对居民形成的负担较小(均次费用占年收入比例<10%),在90年代负担较重(>30%),2000年达到最高(>50%),之后负担有所下降,但其费用对农民仍然构成较大的负担(>60%)。

The medical costs increased a lot since the reform and open policy had implemented in China thirty years ago. This article revealed such changes through collecting and analyzing the cost for appendicitis hospitalization in different periods. The analysis showed that the cost was a big burden both for the people in the city or in the country, the average cost was more than 30% of patient's annual income in 1990s, and in 2000 it was over 50%, while it's less than 10% in 1980s.However, this burden began to decline after 2000 but still heavy for the peasant, which is more than 60%.
