Biodiesel as a green renewable energy source has a great development prospect.In this paper the properties of biodiesels are introduced,the factors influencing its commercial development and China's supply characteristics of biodiesel raw materials are reviewed.Some national standards from China and other countries are introduced and compared.The ways reducing production cost of biodiesels are discussed after the main production techniques and features of biodiesels summarized.
