Information fusion has been used widely in the field of fault diagnosis as a kind of automatic information synthetic processing technique.In this paper,the basic ideas and the latest research fruits of fault diagnosis based on information fusion are introduced.In addition,the review of fault diagnosis based on information fusion is also made.Based on the above,the fault diagnosis methods and their application cases based on information fusion are analyzed.The integrated fault diagnostic methods are discussed mainly,and the integrated fault diagnosis frame is proposed.The structure of the fault diagnosis system and the functions of different fusion level are presented.At last,the key problems and the future trends of information fusion in the fault diagnosis are discussed.
