摘要
地形场景是创建三维虚拟环境的组成部分。地形场景建模核心问题是特征物模型与地形模型在数据层次的融合。针对基于规则网格绘制的地形与地表特征物的融合问题,提出一种通过扩展变化单元格分辨率,用精细的三角形描述特征物轮廓,结合视点相关的LOD简化技术建立地形和特征物的多分辨率模型的方法,并增加过渡区域解决因相邻单元格分辨率不一致导致的裂缝问题。实验表明,该方法的融合效果逼真,且对地形实时绘制影响较小。
Terrain scene is the basic component for building 3D virtual environment. The core issue of terrain scene modeling is merging of target model and terrain model on data structure level. For the mergence of surface targets and terrain based on regular grid, this paper proposed a method to construct multi-resolution model, which resolved the cracks problem led by different resolutions of the adjacent cells adopting increasing transition region, by extending resolution of the changing cells, combining view-dependent LOD simplification techniques and decrypting the contour with smaller triangles. The results of experiments show that mergence effect of this method is realistic and has smaller impact on real-time rendering of terrain.
