Arsenic,a carcinogenic substance,occurs in surface and subsurface waters through natural and anthropogenic activities.It is estimated that nearly 100 million people inhabiting several countries are at a potential risk of arsenic exposure,and several thousands have already been affected by chronic arsenicosis.Therefore,there is a pressing need to develop a low cost and technically effective arsenic removal technology.While the
