摘要
EZW,SPITH,EBCOT以及SPECK是常见的基于DWT的图像压缩编码算法。通过对这些算法的图像压缩性能仿真,着重在压缩比、峰值信噪比、编码复杂度方面进行对比分析;并和基于DCT的图像压缩算法进行比较,结论显示在低码率的情况下,基于DWT的算法明显好于基于DCT的算法;对EZW和SPIHT算法不足之处进行了分析,给出了改进方案,并加以理论证明。
EZW,SPITH,EBCOT and SPECK are some common coding algorithms for image compression based on DWT.According to the simulation results of the image compression performance,we analyzed and contrasted each other,especially in the case of compression ratio,PNSR(peak signal noise ratio) and the complexities of coding;We also compared these algorithms to the algorithms based on DCT,and the conclusion shows that the algorithms based on DWT are better than those based on DCT in the case of low bit rate.Finally,we analyzed the deficiency of the algorithms of the EZW and SPIHT,and put forward some solutions to improve their performance,and the solutions are proved to be valid theoretically.
