从2008奥运会公示语看中国公示语的翻译的发展

A review about the development of Chinese public notes from 2008 Olympic Games

’公示语’是给公众在公共场合看的文字语言。随着我国改革开放不断深入,对外交流的不断增多,使用英语的场合越来越多。过去,我们对公示语重视程度不够,没有制定统一的公示语翻译标准,公示语英语翻译出现了很多错误,影响了我国的语言环境。如今中国走向世界,2008年奥运会在北京举办,中国十分重视英语公示语翻译工作,加强了政府部门的管理监督,调动了群众的积极性。通过这次奥运会,中国公示语的翻译得到了很好的发展,水平达到了新的高度。

Public notes are words being seen in publics. With China’s Reform and Opening-up deepening and increasing foreign exchanges, the use of public notes are becoming more and more popular. In the past, we didn’t pay enough attention to public notes, make a certain translation standard to public notes. Thus, we have made a lot of mistakes on translating public notes which have af- fected our language-learning environment. Nowadays, China is packing itself towards the world and having held the 2008 Olympic Games, attaches great importance to the translation of public notes, strengthen the administration of government and motivate all the pe- ople. Through the Olympic Games, the Chinese language translation of public notes has been a sound development and the level reached a new height.
