大学生惩戒教育的实质是警戒教育,作用是进行意识和行为纠错,目的是帮助大学生学会做人做事。没有惩戒的教育是不完整的教育,教育惩戒权是高校及其教师的教育权力之一。在大学生的教育与管理中,应当慎重和依法施行教育惩戒权,做到规范化、科学化,以获取"绿色"效果。大学生及其家庭以及社会应对大学施行惩戒教育权予以充分的理解,并积极支持,以达成高等教育的目的。

Without punishment, education would be imperfect. The power of punishment in education is one of educational power of universities and their teachers. In the process of the education and administration of university students, the power of educational punishment should be applied in accordance with law cautiously, normally and scientifically so as to get positive effects. Students, their family and the whole society should have full awareness of the power of punitive education at universities and give positive support for it in order to achieve the aims of higher education.
