It is of great significance that we should run well province-leveled demonstrative high schools in the underdeveloped areas in order to construct a well-to-do society in an all-round way and promote educational equity.The central and the local authorities must attach great importance to the development of province-leveled demonstrative high schools and remove unfavourable factors for them so as to advance the healthy and sustainable development of national education.According to the writer's working experiences of being key middle school's headmaster for many years in the underdeveloped areas of Middle West,the article analyses the status and the importance of demonstrative high schools in the underdeveloped areas of Middle West,and puts forward some countermeasures for their sustainable development.
