Four Qualities for Literature Critics

造成目前文艺评论界众声喧哗而又集体失语的衰败气象的一个很重要的深层原因是,人们对文学批评以及从事这一创造性的思维活动所要求的人的素质存在着根本误解。文学批评家必须具备四大素质,即对于他人情感和情绪的敏感性;对语言运用的敏感性;一定的理论训练和多学科素养;对时代精神的敏感性和自觉性。

One of the most important fundamental reason why current critics of art compete to air their opinions as individuals but lose discourse right as a whole is that people stick to the misunderstanding concept of the qualities that are needed to do the created work as a literature critic. The four essential qualities are the sensitivity of other’s feelings and emotions, the sensitivity of the application of language; training on theories and knowledge in multiple disciplines, and also the sensitivity and consciousness of modern time.
