西南地区的生态环境造就了封闭独特的民间美术,较之北方地区民间美术有独特的差异性。在现代社会里,民间美术的生态环境发生了变化,传统纹样的功利性目的已退居第二位,审美性目的上升为第一位。民间美术与民俗共生,因此它不会消失,只会以新的形式去转化和重组,成为现代社会文化和经济发展的新的人文资源。

The ecological environment in the Southwest of China has created unique and closed folk arts,which is especially different from that in the North.In the modern society,the ecological environment of folk art has changed.The utilitarian purpose of the traditional patterns has been relegated to the second place,and the aesthetic purpose of it has become the first.Folk art and folk custom are symbiotic,so they will not extinctive.Additionally,it only transforms and reconstructs in a new form and becomes a new human resource in the development of modern social culture and economy.
