Protection of the marine environment——green ship recycling

拆船是船舶"生命"的最后一环。不论从可持续发展的角度还是经济利润方面来讲,无害拆船被认为是船舶资源回收再利用最环保的方式。然而,拆船过程中充斥着各种环境污染的风险,站在环保和可持续发展的立场,无害拆船是IMO、航运业甚至整个人类的重要任务之一。

In general,ship recycling is the last procedure in the lifecycle of its maritime transportation.No matter on contribution of sustainable development or economic profit,ship recycling is always considered the most environmentally friendly way of ship disposal with virtually every part of the hull and machinery capable of being re-used.However,the process of ship dismantling is full of risks of environmental pollution.From the point of the cleaner and sustainable marine environment and shipping industry,ship-recycling is also one of the burgeoning and significant tasks for IMO、 shipping industry and the whole human beings.
