Racialism had a close relation with colonialism in the modern world history. But it had differences in degree among different colonialists. Why did the Afrikaners become the most notorious racialists in the human history? There are many different answers. This paper tries to find the Afrikaners' racialist gene by analysing the historical background, so that we can have an insight into the origin of South Africa's racial problem.
