摘要
本文从使用频率、语体特征、句法结构、搭配等多角度对though、although两词进行了语料库对比研究,探讨两词在实际语言运用中的不同之处。同时还讨论了利用语料库进行词汇学习和研究对英语词汇教学的重要意义。
The present paper makes a detailed corpus study of though and although in terms of word frequency, social-stylistic features, grammatical patterns, collocation and so on. It aims at revealing the main difference in the use of the two words in real life. Its implications to the teach- ing of vocabulary are also highlighted.
