Karel apek,a Czech writer coined the term "robot",or rather made it popular.He introduced and made popular the frequently used international word robot,which firstappeared in his play R.U.R.(Rossurrrs Universal Robots) in 1920.The true inventor of the termrobot was Karel’s brother Josef apek.The word robot comes from the word robota meaning "drudgery"(苦工),"work of a villein"(农奴) in literary Czech(捷克语) and "work","labor" in literary Slovak(斯洛伐克语).
