摘要
在20世纪末和新世纪初的中国,公共艺术的主动需求者和自觉接受者是公众社会,更确切地说,是一个在中国20世纪70年代末改革以业正在成长中的市民社会,因此对这个阶层文化存在的分析,对我们进一步阐述公共艺术的价值取向是必要的。
It is discussed in this article that the social foundation of public art booming in China is the emerging civil society, for the development of social public sphere (V.S. private sphere), as well as the shaping of public culture, both rely on the democratic participating and public supervision in a civil society with market economy and legal system.
The leading role of the civil society and its fundamental function in the equilibrium of sodal rational in modern social history is emphasized, seen from a sociological and political point of view. It is demonstrated that during the transforming progress from the traditional planning economy to the market economy, the newly developed cultural consciousness and practical needs of civil society will alter and deconstruct the previous artistic state under the realpolitik and cultural elite. The public in civil society will participate in public affairs with the legal power bestowed by the system of marketing and political consulting, and by obtaining the public rights including culture and art, will become the participants, critic, and owners of public arts.
Under the context of post-modern culture, the Chinese public art is liberating itself from the former politically recordative, didactic and elite's purism and majestic nature and melting the social life with a diversified, tolerating and civil image to promote the urban cultural property.
The author advocates for the promoting of the civil living environment and respect for the citizen's rights of democratic participation in the artistic construction of Chinese public art, so as to restore public art its proper function in the advancement of Chinese society.
