Witchcraft As a Cultural Phenomenon

摘要 在学科纵横交叉,边缘性日益增强、发展的现当代,江碧波是一位较为典型的综合性艺术家。她的艺术创作实践,在版画、壁画、雕塑等多方面,都体现出了她均卓有成效的造诣。艺术与哲学的思辨中,她不断探索,拓展着自己的艺术空间。十多年来,她集中致力于环境雕塑的创作,成功地完成了一批有力度的纪念性、历史性及观赏性的园林雕塑。 这些承载着浓厚文化气息的有些“异类”的雕塑作品,是其在“巫文化”与雕塑结合的尝试。相信它们在体现远古文化的独特魅力的同时,会给人们以不同程度的启迪。 In my research on ancient witchcraft and my practice of creating witch sculpts, I get a response to the following words of historians: 'A witch represents dance, infinitive ability, beauty, intelligence, healer. ' The word of witch dissipates the malignancy by singing and dancing. By beauty creation and expression, he preys for the god's blessing, thanks for the endowment help of god and the nature, enriches their lives, and gain the spirit's freedom and enjoyment. The witch is a beauty-creator. He is a great genius of art. By making the sweet songs and beautiful dances, he inspires from the nature, creates the myth as well as mythizes himself, imposes the beauty of nature on himself. The witch is intelligent. He combines the psychological aspect with the physical aspect to define a new life value of human. The human only exists for surviving without soul. The behaviors of the witch are expression and pursuit of aesthetics. The witch is healer. He is good at healing. He tastes herbs, predicts the future, and keeps away from hoodoo. He is the earliest analyst of information with the keen apperceiveness. The witch endues the art with magic effects, and so does he with mysterious aura. He is the initiator of religion. Witchcraft keeps silence long. With Retrospect to its splendid lapse, we find the flame of torch held by the witch, the origin of human, and the dialogues in the ancient time. The witch is an almighty wise person. He dedicates himself to understanding the god's voice. He is the great healer with principle, the best dancer with body motion, the astronomer and information analyst communicating with the heaven and the earth, the great hero leading people to fight with disaster, the prophet with the most abundant imagination, and the creator of primitive myth.
