社会经济的增长与公民文化素质的提高,充分激活了环境雕塑的活力。作为文化现象,在近二十年的快速发展过程中,环境雕塑已经被人们接受。公众对它的了解与认识程度,已经超过以往任何时代。特别是在一些经济发达的大中型城市,环境雕塑建设已经成为城市文化的重要内容。环境雕塑成为沟通环境与人的重要文化载体,作为城市的形象与标志,逐渐成为人们生活中不可分割的一部分。
Nowadays, urban environmental sculpture has been a more and more important cultural vehicle to link man to environment. As the representative image of city it becomes a part of people' s life. However, certain factors, for example, the mal-functional mechanism hinder the development of urban environmental sculpture. Reality forces the artists to make an alternative in front of dilemma: commercial profit and artistic pursue, which to be chosen? Shi Zhenying is an artist who chooses to devote himself to urban environmental sculpture.
In the past decades he finds his own development course in urban environmental sculpture. He slicks to his own principle, which is being responsible for himself and art as well. This is an incarnation of his high sense of responsibility.
Benefiting from academism training, Mr. Shi can handle capacious of theme. He not only has a complete research and understanding in use of the materials such as mental, stone and timber, but also has a grasp of the technical nature and expressive characteristics. Moreover, he never gives up exploring the possible expressive ways and styles of environmental sculpture. Therefore it is not surprising that many of his works hit the bid in recent local environmental sculpture design solicitation.
