本文分析了现有的国际图像压缩标准,离散余弦变换造成了恢复图像的块效应,图像压缩倍数有限。我们讨论了切匹雪夫(CHEBYCHEV)多项式计算二维离散余弦变换的思想,充分利用切匹雪夫多项式系数的快速收敛性,发挥切匹雷夫多项式系数的最 优下降特性,从而进一步提高图像数据的压缩倍数。
This paper analyzes current image compression standards, the block effects and limits of image compression ratio produced by DCT transformation in decoded picture. It also discusses how to compute 2-D DCT by means of Chebychev polynomial transformation algorithm. It shows that the optimal descending features of Chebychev polynomial coefficients may be obtained by exploiting the fast convergence property of Chebychev polynomial coefficients so as to further promote the compression ratio in decompression picture.
