To design the one-and multi-dimensional test project and to simplify the regressive calculation, an optimisation method for ship model hydrodynamic experiments is provided. Applying this method a minimum volume for the tested sample and an optimum estimation for the regressive coefficients can be obtained and the information about relation between dependent and independent variates can also be given obviously and accurately.
