抗日战争时期,陕甘宁边区政府根据边区文化教育十分落后、文盲众多的实际,采取多种手段,在广大边区掀起社会教育运动。在政府的号召下,边区的社会教育如火如荼,蓬勃发展,广大民众的民族意识和社会意识明显提高,有力地支援了抗战事业。
