Digital addressable lighting interface(DALI)is a communication regulation suiting for lighting system management.The ballast based on IR2159,a dimming ballast control integrated circuit,can automatically perform preheating,ignition and dimming.PIC16F628is used as an interface between the ballast controller and DALI.Dimming characteristics curve,programming idea,program flow and methods of minimizing power dissipation are given.[
