摘要
《马桥词典》在文体形式上,是对笔记小说的发扬,在文学理念上,是向古小说观念的复归。其词典外衣则为笔记小说零散无拘的形式给出了一种长篇小说文体所需要的整体构成性,从而成就了一种不同于全景式长篇小说的全息性长篇小说。这种文体形式是与这部小说对于人类文化的探讨本质联系在一起的,若采用全景长篇小说文体,作品中活跃而舒展的思想便会残废。
The novel Dictionary of Maqiao is stylistically a development of sketches and notionally a return of ancient novel notions. Its form as a dictionary gives rise to the integratedness needed by a type of long - novel style which is based on the disconnected form of literary sketches, and thus creates a kind of holograph novel which is different from panoramic novels. This kind of stylistic form is closely associated with its exploration of human cultures. If the author employed the style of panoramic novels, the active and comfortable thought of the novel would be crippled.
