摘要
This article attempts to explore the acquisition of connectives in English expository writings, by Chinese EFL learners. The research is based on 30 expositions written by the university level FSL learners with English as L2, one cloze test, one error-correction exercise, two questionnaires and an interview. The present research is concerned with examining how well readers of different levels of English-language proficiency could understand and use a particular type of logical connectives. We are interested in how readers understand the functions of different kinds of connectives and the meaning relationships signaled by them. From the research, we are expected to know something about the learners' acquisition process and the elements that facilitate or impede learning. And both language learners and teachers will benefit from this study.
连接词是指在语篇中连接相邻的命题并表明句子之间逻辑关系的词或短语,是语篇衔接和连贯的手段之一,因此,连接词的掌握情况对于阅读和写作至关重要。本研究着重调查在中国语境下,中国学生了解和使用连接词的情况即连接词的习得情况,采取定量研究和定性研究相结合的方法,分析了学生的三十篇英语说明文、连接词选词填空和改错练习,并进行了问卷调查和个别访谈。以期通过本研究对二语习得的主体(学习者)之间的差异以及习得过程有进一步了解,从而指导语言学习和教学。
