摘要
本文针对目前一些怀疑聘用英语外教价值的看法,在云南省两所高校的67名英语专业学生中做了一次问卷调查和面谈式调查。调查结果显示,外教在学生心目中有着不可替代的独特地位,他们在中国的高等教育中担负着中西文化交流使者和英语语言专家的双重角色。但是,在目前条件下的很多英语外教也同样存在着一些问题。本文通过总结,提出了一些旨在如何扬长避短,充分发挥英语外教在中国高等教育中的特殊优势的建议和看法。
In allusion to some current suspicion about the real value of hiring foreign English teachers,the author carried out a study among 67 English majors in two colleges in Yunnan Province through interviews and questionnaires.The result of this study shows that foreign English teachers hold an irreplaceable position in the students'mind as Sino-western cultural commuters and the English language experts in the Chinese higher education. Meanwhile,some practical problems also exist in employing foreign English teachers in the current situation.This article summarized by putting forward some suggestions to better avoid their disadvantages and efficiently exert their unique expertise in the Chinese higher education.
