摘要
Various approaches to non-English major ELT at college level in China have been explored ever since the early 1980s, with a certain fruitfulness, namely, among others, discourse analysis, and the communicative approach have found their way in college ELT, but they are still far from satisfactory and popular due to the contextual factors like large-size classes. In this regard, the writer of this paper attempts to apply the less- attractive strategy, Group Learning, to his classes and consequently finds it effective in an unexpectedly desirable manner.
本文作者运用分组教学法进行实验发现其主要优点在于:学习者们表现出的极大参与热情,从而大大地激发了学习动机和信心,增强了进取心和竞争意识;男女同组、强弱搭配有利于共同交流和提高学习者之间的人际关系。但也发现存在一些问题:有些水平较弱的学习者的参与程度受心理因素的影响,输入多于输出,甚至出现少数消极退缩的现象;课内时间和空间的局限性;小组长的水平直接影响小组活动效果;纪律约束的缺乏会分散部分注意力;课外小组活动缺乏监督机制。
