张振铎早年毕业于上海美专,先后在上海新华艺专、国立艺专、西南美专、武昌艺专及湖北美术学院等多所高等美术学府执掌教鞭, 是一位教学认真而平易近人的教授,也是一位勇于创新的著名画家。
