The linearized averaging model of a switching converter is a linear time-invarient (LTI) circuit. Traditionally, the frequency domain approach is often used for the transient analysis and control design (synthesis) of the switching power supply, that is: to investigate its transient behaviors in frequency domain, such as: stability, fastness, robustness, line and load rejections etc.
