摘要
A mathematical model was built up to solve the problem of optimal operational control by analysing the factors on an interceptor sewer system and a Fortran program was produced for this model. This paper shows that the optimal control states can be determined by working out the optimal flow rates by means of Linear Programming (LP). The result is very sensitive to interception points and the concentration weight coefficients over time. The result further highlights some practical applications for the existing sewer systems or the sewer systems under design.
