通过对历史材料的考证研究,认为中国历史上的职业技术教育大体上经历了一个起源、大发展、衰落和重新起步的过程。职业技术教育在我国的起步是比较早的,教育的基本内容以谋生和“认知”自然界为主,在春秋战国时期曾达到了一个高峰。中国进入封建社会后,在“罢黜百家、独尊儒术”的高压政策下,职业技术教育衰落,仅在民间畸形发展。到了近代社会,中国在“落后就要挨打”的教训下,清政府才开始举办专门的职业技术学校,使职业技术教育登上了大雅之堂。

After the historical materials being verified , the history of vocational and technical education in china ,can be divided into such four periods ,original period , greatly developing period , declining period and again starting period . vocational and technical education started earlier in our nation , the content of education mainly include making a living and understanding the nature , it ever reached one climax during the spring-autumn and warring state period . After china developed into feudal society , under the very strict policy of “getting rid of all the others and just valuing Confucianism ”,vocational and technical education declined , only having a malformed development in folk .As the society of modern time came , china was given a lesson that “falling behind result in being beaten ”,the government of Qing Dynasty began to run specific vocational and technical school , making the vocational and technical education come on graceful stage .
