再谈“摊丁入亩”对人口增长的促进作用——以徽州族谱资料为中心

Further Research Into The New Tax System's Function In The Population Increase——Centre Around The Materials Of Huizhou Family Tree

“摊丁入亩”制度对清朝人口的急剧增长有着直接的促进作用,这是史学界比较普遍的看法。笔者从徽州现存的族谱资料入手,通过对该制度实施前后徽州家庭平均每户生育子女数的统计,得出两者数字接近的结果;并从医学史发现:18世纪以前,我国并没有普遍实行行之有效的节育措施。从而认为:对“摊丁入亩”促进人口增长的看法要重新评价。

In the historical circle, there is a common idea about the new tax system nut the tax on family members into the possessed land. They think that the new tax system made the population of the Qing dynasty increase quickly. The author of this essay has made a research into Huizhou family tree, and found out through the statistics that the average family birth rate was quite the same after the new tax system took effect. In addition, according to the medicine history, no effective action had been taken to control birth before the 18th century. Therefore, the author of this essay suggests that the new tax system' s function in the population incrense should be reevaluated.
