Technologies of production and culture for the industrialization development of tree peonies.

牡丹产业化发展受到了国内外重视,以种苗为主、盆花和切花为辅的3种商品形式已经形成.主要的生产栽培技术是由以优质种苗生产为目的的常规栽培、以盆花和切花生产为主的促进(抑制)栽培、以及以迅速扩大繁殖为目的的生物快速繁殖等三大技术组成的一个完整的技术体系,其中种苗生产栽培技术、促成栽培技术已经较为成熟,生物快速繁殖技术正在研究开发之中.

Industrialization development of tree peonies or Mudan attracts more attention in recent years and three marketable productions as plants (grafts), potted-plants and cut-flowers have been developed widely both in China and Japan. Production technologies of tree peonies include the technology for the purpose to propagating plants in natural culture, the technology of forcing (or retarding) culture for producing potted- and cut-flowers, and the rapid propagation technology by tissue culture. They constitute a technological system to produce tree peonies, in which the technologies of usually propagating and growing plants and of forcing culture for potted-and cut-flowers have been applicable in practice but, as promising it appears, the rapid propagation technology by tissue culture still to be studied.
