Undoubtedly, the departure of his concubine in Suzhou marked an important line of demarca-tion in Wu wenying's life and his creative career. From several of his poems whose dates of creation weredefinite, it could be seen that it was in the second Chunyou year of the reign of Emperor Lizong of theSouthern Song Dynasty (1242), and not in the fourth year (1244), that his concubine in Suzhou lefthim.
