摘要
John Keats (1795 - 1821 ) is considered to be one of the most famous British romantic Poets in the 19th century. his major achievement is regarded as the sequence of odes that he wrote in 1820. "Ode to a Nightingale" is perhaps his best known lyric with the praise of beauty as its general theme, In this paper, the eight stanza poem has been examined concerning its theme of transience and permanence, beauty and death.
