摘要 A new latex agglutination immunoassay was developed to detect the concentration of progesterone in human urine. The particles made by a new method of emulsifier free emulsion polymerization are spherical and uniform. It indicates that the mean diameter of the PS particles is from 200nm to 500nm. It was shown that the polymerization rate and the percentage conversion significantly increase by adding acetone. The optimum wavelength for our particles was 405nm and this was used throughout all the measurements. The optimal reaction temperature and time were 37℃ and 1h separately. In this case, we found an approximately linear relationship between PS particles absorbance and progesterone levels below 40ng/ml.
