摘要
This paper proposes a new engineering disciplin─Engineering System Theory. It dis cusses rendered background, research objects and contents of the engineering system theory briefly. Finally, the met-discipline standing of the engineering system theory in the whole knowledge system of engineering science and its development potential are pointed out.
