The intention of a text represents the source language writer's attitude to a subject matter. A communication will not be successful unless the intention has been recognized by the receptor. Similarly, a translation will not be successful if this intention is not recognized by the receptor language reader. So a good translator begins the job by determining the original writer's intention and ends it up with full conveyance of the intention which will have the same effect on the receptor language reader as that on the original readerthis is the principle of Intentionality. The author will make a tentative research on the importance and application of the principle of intentionality to translation on the basis of her own translation practice.
