The paper presents basic information about levee of Jiujiang city,the water regime and information of water stage of the river streach;the process of the levee break is described simply,and cause of thebreak is analysed. The paper concludes that the serious deformity of levee foundation caused internal erosion which finally resulted in the break of levee.
