A method is detailed for testing adn calculating the indexing angle errors of PH10 probe. Firstly, thepositional relationship between the PH1O rotating-center and the red ruby sphere centre is obtained by the measurement of the sphere with a coordinate measuring machine (CMM). Then based on the restults, thereference coordinate system around which axes PH10 rotates is created.Also,the calculation of absolute anglesand the angle errors are presented. Finally, the causes of the indexing angle errors are analyzed.
