简要介绍了当今CAD/CAM领域的一项最新技术——激光快速原型制造技术基本原理及几种主要设备的工作原理。我校已引进美国产的SLA设备,即将开展快速原型制造及相关技术的研究。

Like a bread or a cucumber, any physical object may be cut into slices. On the other hand, if the right slices are available, they might be joined to form any kind of geometry. This is the basic principle of the family of processes known as Rapid Prototyping and Manufacturing or Layer Manufacturing Technology. This paper gives a introduction of the advnced technology and several equipments to give the reader an impression that RP&M is rapidly developing.
