本文简要论述了高等学校开展应用科技研究工作对完善学校办学功能的作用，总结了我校建筑工程系开展科技工作的主要目标、思路、措施和成效。

This paper gives a brief account of the influence of applied scientific research in higher institutions on the perfection of college functions and reveals the target, plan, steps and results which have been made in this field by the Architectural Engineering Department of Ningbo College.
